Eli Turned 8!

 I can't believe that I have another kid that is ready to be baptized.  This year for Eli's party he wanted a pirate theme.  I tried my best to make a pirate ship cake for him.

 Sometimes it is crummy having a summer birthday because a lot of your friends are out of town for your party but, Eli was glad that his friends Cloby and Brady were able to come this year.

 After we had cake and ice cream Spencer took the boys to Lazermania to play lazer tag.  They also played some arcade games they had a ton of fun!  In the car on the way Eli opened his birthday card from Great Grandma and Grandpa Hall that had money in it which Eli was very excited about.
Eli's favorite food is waffels with ice cream.  He like Star Wars books and his favorite thing to do is play with Legos.

Newhouse Family Reunion 2012

We had a blast at the Newhouse Family Reunion in Bonners Ferry Idaho!

My Uncle Chuck and Aunt Suzie went to a ton of work to make the reunion a treasured memory for the whole family.

 

Gavin got to meet his cousin Sadie.  They had a blast playing together!

 

 This picture just makes my heart happy.  I want to give my kids every opportunity to learn from their great-grandparents.

 Dad was in charge of designing and ordering the official t-shirt.  They were a lot of fun.  They had my Uncle Chuck's classic car on it with fireworks because the reunion took place over the 4th of July weekend.

 We got to be in a parade!

 Hiking up to Copper Falls is a memory that I have from my childhood so it was fun for me to be able to have that experience with my kids.  It was quite the hike all of the way to the top!  It is fun to see all of the men do the kid passing over the wet and dangerous parts!

 This is another one of my favorite childhood memories that I am so glad that my kids get to make that memory too!

 Every morning we would have a flag raising ceremony.

 We made a trip into Canada

 and got to go to a strawberry picking farm.

We heart attacked Granny and Pappy's room that they were staying in to show them how grateful we are for everything that they are and have done for our family!  We love them so much!  

It was a wonderful reunion!
