Lost.....Literally

Last night Eli lost his first tooth! I can't believe that he is old enough to be loosing teeth! The last time we visited the Dentist she told us that he had two loose teeth. She also said that we might want to start saving for all of the orthodontic work that he will neeed. Yikes!!! Anyway, yesterday during lunch Eli's started crying because he bit into some food and it made one of his loose teeth very loose. He did not want me to pull it out because he was afraid that it would hurt. Makenzi even offered to pull it out for him really carefully but he still said no. I told him that we could just wait until he was ready. I was sure that it would be out within the next few days but later last night after dinner Eli was helping his dad take out the trash and as he went outside he suddenly realized that there was a hole in his teeth. He ran back in to show me that the tooth was in fact gone. In fact it was lost. He has no idea where it went! We think that he probably swallowed it with his dinner. Nonetheless, the toothfairy still left him a whole dollar!
