Can You See The Floor At Your House?

T'was 2 days after Christmas and all through the house,
every person was playing, even my spouse.
The toys were strewn though the whole house galore
you could hardly find a bare spot to walk on the floor!

Yes, from the front door you can see all of the way through my house into the back yard. Not great in our humble small home!

I think that all of the toys might stay out here in the living area since there is little space for them in the bedrooms. What was Santa thinking???

For Christmas my parents and not so much little brother came down to be with us. We had a great time having them with us to enjoy the holiday. We all participated in the nativity. Don't laugh! Makenzi and I traded robes for the occasion.

Christmas morning

My Granny made us a gingerbread house and sent in down in pieces for us to put together. When I was a kid, she made one for each of her kids families to decorate. I have a lot of great memories with all of the cousins sitting around the big table and decorating the gingerbread houses even when we were teenagers!

While we were living at Granny and Pappy's house, I helped her make the gingerbread houses one year. So I glued the house together one day.

Then we decorated it the next.

Gavin did not want to wait to eat it so our house had a mouse hole this year!

Garet was so excited about his first Christmas!

He still doesn't sleep though the night but he does have the cutest little giggle!

Welcome Aboard The Polar Express!

On Makenzi's birthday we went up to Williams Arizona and rode on "The Polar Express". It was a good 5 hour drive but it actually went by pretty quickly. The kids were really good in the car. We had to stop every 2 hours to take the baby out of his car seat and to feed him. We got there just in time!

The kids were super excited and we boarded the first train in the first car. They served hot chocolate of course, and read the story to us. Then we got to meet the conductor.

The kids were so excited when Santa came to our car. He gave each child a giant jingle bell.

We gave the kids their matching PJ's to wear on the train. We had them put them on over their clothes because it was colder than what we are used to!

The kids wanted to stand in line to visit with Santa before heading home. Gavin could hardly wait! He was so cute! It is so much fun to see the excitement in the kids eyes in the anticipation for Christmas.

Happy Birthday You Two!

We celebrated Spencer's birthday on Tuesday thanks to some good friends who always watch our kids for us we were able to go out to dinner.

Makenzi's birthday is today!
We actually celebrated her birthday with her friends on the 18th because we went up to Williams Arizona and rode the Polar Express on the 17th. More on that on the next post!
First we had her friends over for cupcakes and ice cream.

Then we headed to Trail Dust Town!

The girls took a ride on the train around the park and rode the carosel.



Then we watched the gun show. Makenzi got to be in the pre-show! She did a great job when they called her up to hula hoop. She surprised me but this girl can hula hoop!




I think that they had a great time! We are sure lucky to have a girl like Makenzi in our family!

Mommy Moment

I can now say that I have been at Walmart, with a cart full of $300+ worth of groceries, trying to nurse a screaming baby in the purse isle with a charlie horse in my left foot. Thank you.

A Trip to Utah-Garet's Baby Blessing

This post is a month late!
Here is a pictures of our first adventure traveling with 4 kids and Garet's first airplane ride. He did well like they all did at this age. Garet mostly slept. This was also Gavin's first airplane ride where he had to have his own seat and stay buckled up. I'll just say that that a whole lot of fun for Spencer!

We decided that each trip to Utah should have a date with the great-grandparents so we met my mom's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Hall, at McDonalds for lunch.

Pappy was sick this trip. He was half of the reason why we decided to bless Garet in Utah, because all of the other kids have had both great-grandpas stand in the blessing circle so we wanted all of the kids to have that. I guess that it just wasn't ment to be. Anyway, we met Aunt Carla, Granny and Renae at a barrell racing event and the kids were able to ride Venus. They loved it! They also got to ride in a tractor. (Nobody can turn Granny down when she asks!)

Garet wore the same outfit that Spencer was blessed in. Isn't he handsome?

We did the blessing at my parent's house just like all of the other kids. Garet was blessed on November 14, 2010. We are so greatful for all of the love and support of all of our family members!
