You Know You Are Ready To Have A Baby When.......

-You get in the car and have to slide the seat back because your belly is touching the steering wheel.
-As you walk by the handicap parking signs you double check to make sure that they don't have expectant mother's on them.
-You can't make it through the grocery store or church without a bathroom break.
-You have to wake up to roll over during the night.
-People start asking you if you can waddle a little faster.
-You drop something you stop and think about if it is worth bending over to pick up.
-You sit and everything else sits on top of each other. (B)
-Your belly button is so stretched to the max that it doesn't even poke out.
-The baby stretches you can feel it in your back, your ribs, and your hip bones.
-An hour after you wake up feeling refreshed you feel exhausted again.
-The phone starts to ring but the answering machine picks up before you do.

Look What I Got!!!

I'm so excited! I bought this new toy used on ebay and I'm so excited to learn how to use it! I have been watching classes online and practicing a little bit. I hope that I learn enough to take some great photos of this little guy coming soon!

33 Weeks & Counting

Yesterday I had an OB appointment. I'm going every 2 weeks now. Fun. I take Gavin with me and he sits in his stroller like a good boy while the Dr. measures my tummy and listens to the baby's heart beat. I measure right on track. I have gained approximately 30lbs. Yep, that is almost a pound a week, so by the time I have this baby......No, I think that I'll gain really close to the same amount that I did with Gavin. Even though I didn't think that there was any way that I would fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans after Gavin, I did. So we will see how this one goes! The Dr. informed me that she would like to do the c-section on a Tuesday when the same specialist that was in the OR when I had Gavin would be available this time in case she felt like she needed his help with the adhesion's. So for now the date is scheduled for 10-5-10. Although, she does want me to start non-stress tests after my next appointment to measure uterine activity. If I am having a number of contractions and she is uncomfortable with the amount of activity she would like to deliver the baby earlier than that. I'm not really sure why they have you do non-stress tests because real life is anything but non-stress! Anyway we'll go with what she says because she is the professional!
I know that I have mentioned it before but, this pregnancy has gone by so fast! I don't get sick when I'm pregnant, or really I should say that I don't throw up because of pregnancy hormones when I'm pregnant because at the beginning of this pregnancy I was constantly sick with something or another. My biggest complaints would have to be the indigestion and my hips aching at night. Seriously though, I don't know how people with indigestion cope. I guess that they can take a lot more antacid options where I'm limited to Pepcid complete and Zantac. They don't do much for me so I have to be really careful about what I eat. However, remember I have had no trouble gaining weight!
Spencer has been great. He lets me sleep in while he gets Makenzi ready for school. I'm not a morning person and I have never claimed to be and when I'm pregnant I definitely feel better all day if I can sleep in until 7 or 8am.
We are looking forward to meeting this little guy! This is the first pregnancy that I have felt the,"Okay, I'm ready to have this baby now" feeling. So we'll continue to count down the days!

Happy To You, Gavin is 2!

I cannot believe how fast time has flown! Gavin has been the best baby but, now he is a big boy! Gavin likes to think that he can do whatever his big brother and sister do. He is saying a lot of words. He will parrott whatever you say to him. He likes to play outside, rough house with his brother, and suck on his blanket while falling asleep. He is a pretty good eater. He likes hot dogs and anything sweet. He wants to be a big helper even when it really isn't helping! We really love having Gavin as part of our family. He brings so much joy to our home. Happy Birthday big boy!

School Has Begun!

Today was Makenzi and Eli's first day of school. Finally Eli gets to go to real school too! They were both pretty excited. Makenzi starts at 7:35am and Eli starts at 11:15am. Spencer dropped Makenzi off at school on his way to work and he said that everything went smoothly!

Gavin and I dropped Eli off at school later that afternoon. He did great! I think that he is really ready for Kindergarten this year. He made sure that everything (snack) was in his backpack before heading out the door. He lined up with his class when the whistle blew and as they marched to their classroom he didn't even look back. When I picked him up from school his teacher Mrs. Montes said that he did great! She didn't even have to tell him to be quiet once! I'm delighted!

The 4th In Utah

This year we wanted to really celebrate the 4th of July so we plans to go to Utah where they "really" know how to celebrate. (Really means that fireworks are legal) This is the first trip that we had to split up on our flights. So Makenzi,Gavin and I went up on June 30th and because Spencer had to work, he and Eli came up on the 4th.

Makenzi has been wanting to donate her hair again, for the 3rd time, to locks of love so just about the first thing that we did when we got there was haircuts. She donated 11inches this time and now she has a long a-line. Just what she wanted!

We also went to Utah for my mom's mom's side of the family reunion. This is a picture of my Grandma Hall and her sister Judy and her brother Richard. My parents hosted the reunion at their house.

On the morning of the 4th we drove up to Kaysville where Spencer and I graduated from high school, and we watched a great parade. Because of the reunion my Aunt Brenda and her husband Jim were in town to celebrate with us.

It was hot but not as hot as Tucson. We had a lot of fun watching the parade. It was just like how I remembered it. Makenzi wasn't sure in the beginning that she wanted to be collecting the candy and other stuff that was being thrown into the onlookers but after she warmed up she really got into it. I'm sure that it would have helped if Eli was there but my mom and my little sister were there to get her started!

Later in the evening after Spencer and Eli arrived we went and saw the fireworks! My kids didn't really want to sit still for the action. I think that they had just had too much fun for the day.

My sister and her husband were a great help with chasing Gavin around everytime they were with us.

On July 5th, we had a bar-b-que with Spencer's family at his oldest sister's house. My kids loved getting to play with their cousins!
On July 6th, my parent's had a birthday party for Eli. My cousin Ryan and his kids bought Eli some silly string and Eli had a great time spraying everyone including the great-grandparents with the silly string. He is such a character!
He loved all of the great presents that everyone got him and he looks forward to going to Toys "R" Us to spend a gift card that my mom and dad gave him. He has been looking forward to his birthday for quite some time now!
